Getting started
What is Thinkornote, and who is it for?
Thinkornote is a single workspace for notes, documents, spreadsheets, slides, and sketches, together with a calendar, money management, a reading library, PDF tools, and a password vault. Keeping everything in one library helps an idea, the work behind it, and its deadline stay connected.
It is intended for anyone whose work tends to move between formats, including students, writers, consultants, founders, and small teams. If your work currently spans several separate apps, we hope Thinkornote offers a calmer way to bring it together.
Which platforms and languages are supported?
Thinkornote is being built for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows (x64 and ARM64), Linux (AppImage, .deb, and .rpm), iOS, and Android. The download page shows which builds are currently available; any that are still in preparation will be released with the beta.
This website is offered in English, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, Italiano, Nederlands, Русский, and हिन्दी. You are welcome to change the language at any time from the menu at the top or bottom of each page.
Is there a free version, and is an account required?
Yes. The Free plan carries no charge and includes unlimited notes, the essential calendar, attachments, scanning, and export. Paid plans add the full workspace, cloud sync, and the AI assistant for those who would find them useful.
An account is needed to choose a plan, manage billing, and sync between devices. Your notes and files themselves remain in the app rather than on this website.
The workspace
What can I create, and how is my work organized?
You can create notes, documents, spreadsheets, slides, and sketches, supported by a timetable, money management, a reading library, PDF Studio, and a password vault. Scanned pages and audio recordings can be attached directly to the note you are working on.
Your work is saved automatically as you go. You may group items into folders, pin the ones you use most, and sort the rest by date edited, date created, or title. Items can also be favorited, locked, or archived, and everything remains available in All Files.
What do Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Sketch offer?
Docs supports longer writing, with headings, quotes, code blocks, tables, and images, in default, serif, or mono type. Sheets provides formulas, number formats, charts, and conditional formatting for everyday spreadsheet work.
Slides includes ready-made layouts and full-screen presenting, with a presenter view showing your notes, the next slide, and a timer. Sketch offers an open canvas with a pen, a marker, shapes, and text, and drawings can be exported as PNG images.
What is the Timetable?
The Timetable brings a calendar, task list, and time tracker into one view. You can plan by year, month, week, or day, add events by typing a short sentence, arrange tasks under Today, Upcoming, Anytime, and Someday, and see how your time has been spent.
What does Money Management include, and does it connect to my bank?
Money Management helps you keep track of accounts, budgets, bills, savings goals, and debts. Its overview is designed to answer a practical question: how much remains available to spend this month.
It does not connect to bank accounts. Entries are added by you and are kept within the app.
What are the Library and PDF Studio?
The Library is a reading space for your PDFs and EPUBs, arranged on a shelf with their covers. You may read reflowed text in your chosen theme and typeface or view the original pages, and the app remembers where you left off.
PDF Studio gathers common PDF tasks in one place: scanning, text extraction, conversion to and from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and images, as well as merging, splitting, signing, form filling, and password protection. These tools run on your device, so documents do not need to be uploaded to another service.
How are my passwords protected?
The vault is encrypted using your operating system’s built-in protection and is stored separately from your library, so it is not indexed, searched, or read by the assistant. Passwords stay hidden until you choose to reveal them, and a copied password is cleared from the clipboard after 45 seconds.
Privacy and data
Where is my work stored, and can I use the app offline?
Your library is stored on your own device. This website holds only your account and billing details, and your notes do not pass through our servers.
Because your work is kept locally, you can write, edit, and organize without a connection. An internet connection is needed only for the assistant and for cloud sync, which is included with Pro, Family, and Business.
Can I export my work?
Certainly. Notes can be exported as Markdown, plain text, PDF, or Word; documents as PDF or Word; spreadsheets as CSV or Excel; slides as PDF; and sketches as PNG. We believe your work should always remain yours to take wherever you need it.
How is my data used?
Your notes remain in the app, and Thinkornote does not host or resell AI services. We do not show advertising, use cross-site tracking, or sell personal data. Our Privacy Policy describes in detail what this website stores and why.
Which cookies does this website use?
Essential cookies keep you signed in, help protect forms from misuse, and remember your language. Preference and analytics cookies are optional and are set only with your consent. You can review or change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
AI assistant
What can the assistant do, and which plans include it?
The assistant works alongside the page you are on. It can help summarize a note, suggest next steps, and answer questions about your own work. AI chat is included with the Pro, Family, and Business plans.
Why does the assistant use my own API key, and how is it kept secure?
Rather than reselling AI access, Thinkornote lets you connect a key from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google. This allows you to work with a provider you already know and to be billed by them directly for your usage.
Your key is stored on your device and used only for your own requests; it is not sent to the Thinkornote website. The password vault is kept separate from the assistant at all times.
Plans and pricing
Which plans are available?
Free is suited to personal notes and planning, while Pro offers the full workspace. Family extends Pro to as many as five people, each with a private account, under one bill. Business makes Pro available to teams of any size, with seat management, centralized billing, and priority support.
How much does each plan cost?
Pro is $5 per month or $49 per year. Family is $20 per month or $199 per year. Business is $8 per seat per month or $79 per seat per year.
Choosing annual billing saves up to 18% compared with monthly payments. Prices are listed in US dollars, and your bank may convert the amount into your local currency.
Are Enterprise arrangements available?
Yes. For larger organizations, we are happy to discuss volume licensing, a dedicated account manager, and billing terms that suit your needs. Please reach out through the contact page and select Enterprise.
Can I try the paid features before committing?
You are welcome to begin with the Free plan and explore the workspace at your own pace. Should you upgrade, each paid plan includes a 7-day refund window, giving you time to decide whether it is the right fit.
Billing and refunds
How are payments processed, and where can I find my invoices?
Payments are processed securely by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, and Thinkornote does not see your full card number. Your invoices can be downloaded from the Billing page, and a receipt is emailed to you after each payment.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Of course. To switch plans, select a different one on the pricing page while signed in; your current subscription is updated, and any difference for the billing period is charged or credited right away. To cancel, open Billing and choose Manage subscription. Your plan remains active until the end of the period already paid for.
If you return to the Free plan, your files stay on your device. Paid features become unavailable until you upgrade again, and you may export your work at any time.
What is the refund policy?
Pro, Family, and Business include a 7-day refund window. If you request a refund within 7 days of your first payment, or of an annual renewal, we will refund it in full. Approved refunds generally reach your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. Our Refund Policy explains how other situations are handled.
Account and support
How do I sign in or regain access to my account?
You can sign in with your email and password, or continue with Google or Apple. If you have forgotten your password, select “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page and we will send you a secure link to set a new one.
If a confirmation email has not arrived, it may be worth checking your spam or promotions folder. A new link can also be requested from your account page.
How do I delete my account, and what happens to my notes?
You can delete your account from your account page. Any active subscription will be cancelled, and the account will be permanently removed within 30 days. Should you change your mind during that time, simply sign in again.
Notes and files stored in the app on your device are not affected and remain there until you remove them. We would recommend exporting anything you wish to keep before deleting the app.
How can I contact support or share feedback?
We would be glad to hear from you through the contact page or at support@thinkornote.com. Every message is read by a member of our team, and we aim to reply within one working day. Suggestions and bug reports are always appreciated, and any detail you can share helps us respond more effectively.
